So Dec. 12th apped for AARP got 30 day message at app and the phone line has said nothing but 2 weeks for decision....well we are past that and still no word....maybe the holidays are to blame? Scores are all in the 800's although my inq. are horrendous I think TU is the worst with 21, but EQ is only 6 and EX is like 4 so not sure what they don't like, considering I bank and have 5 cards with them already.....hopefully they let me know before new years! Have a great 2016 all!!!

Your Inq's are fine. I have way more than you. And I know folks tha have many times more than I. Not sure whats going on.
I apped around the 14th for the AARP and Disney. Both arrived within 7 days of apping. I've been using both cards the last week.

Yes this is the longest I have waited for an answer, especially from Chase...usually it is instant or I get the call in now...this time the app just said we will decide in 30 days...then the phone line says 2 weeks so no calling because I have been reading not to call in anymore so I sit and wait....most annoying.....but if I get the $200 sign up bonus it will be well worth it!!

Yes it will! I knocked that one out the day the card showed up. I get to keep $200 in my pocket. The AARP is officially my go to dining card now.It will get more use than any of the other cards I have from Chase. It's also the prettiest of the pack.
I apped on 12-2 for Hyatt. Got the we will get back to you message. Had 2 weeks on status line. Just got the card in the mail on Saturday. nearly 3 weeks.

And to the OP, I apped for my Chase Hyatt on 12/5 and didn't hear a peep from them until 12/19. Called the automated line daily but kept getting the 30 day message. I finally was approved on 12/19 for 10k. It may take some time as others indicate here, but it's best to wait it out and not contact Chase directly.
