Since they started giving everyone who was approved the Cash+ earlier this year, I expect that is what the card will be.

It used to be that if you applied for the US Bank Cash+ card and didn't meet all the requirements, that they would then consider you for the Cash Rewards card (which was a plain 1% cash back card).

Now this is what they do (in their own words): If you do not qualify for the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Signature Card, you will automatically be considered for the U.S. Bank Cash+ Visa Platinum Card which earns the same cash back on all net purchases as the Cash+ Visa Signature Card but does not offer the Visa Signature benefits.

In other words, you get a Cash+ card either way, but it might be a Visa Signature card, or it might just be a platinum card.

I don't recall exactly when it changed. But, you could always pc to Cash+, both of my Cash+ cards were due to PC (from a Platinum, and from a Cash Rewards card).

Call the number on the back of the card, and ask if the card is eligible to be changed to a Cash+. If not, ask to speak to an underwriter so that you can inquire about your options. Frankly, once underwriters know of your interest, they will review your card(s) to see if you are eligible, though this probably won't be an instant review. But calling back in a week or two to ask again, is no biggie. Of course, its best to call during normal m-f business hours, so that it is possible to talk to the underwriters...

Re: US BANK Cash+ Visa Signature Delay?

Maybe I'm just clueless but why couldn't it be converted? If there is a version that doesn't have a minimum starting limit I don't see why you'd have to be "eligible". Would they hp for it?

Re: US BANK Cash+ Visa Signature Delay?

Just received my card, it's the Cash+ Visa Signature. So the revolver limit is your credit line? Or is the minimum for the Visa Signature 5K?

In the past the revolving credit limit is the total amount. Since there seems to be a change in the $5k requirement for Visa Signatures call the number on the back of the card and find out using the auto telephone system. It really is that simple.

Grats on a real nice CLI from US Bank. They have tended to be really tough so you have done well.

Re: US BANK Cash+ Visa Signature Delay?

Thabks... my opinion is US Bank has been great. I think they really value relationship and I have 5 bank accounts there... a Roth IRA, CC and LOC open and have had an auto and mortgage there. I think ppl don't have any luck when all they have is a CC or maybe a CC and a savings.
