Re: US Bank CLI system denial "TransUnion Rapid Default Model Version 1"

Looks like I'll be avoiding USB cards. Interesting article though.

I long hoped for USB cards to grow. This new trend is very disappointing lol

One Thing I failed to add is that when I requested the CLI, I had my TU frozen. I am not sure if a thawed TU would have yielded a different outcome or a different scoring model for evalution.

When I called in, the rep suggested that I resubmit the CLI request for a manual review. She wanted me to unfreez my TU so they can do a HP.

I wonder if the unfreeze would of yielded a different result? Seems kind of odd, if already denied, how could an unfreeze make any difference?

I just spent a hp on a us b card. I suppose I'll try for cli in 6 months and report back.

We should create an app, like Credit Karma, and instead offer this TU RDM V1 as the score.

Re: US Bank CLI system denial "TransUnion Rapid Default Model Version 1"

@FicoMike0 @Traveler101

I also wonder... cause Ive seen other similar scores relating to "fraud risk" or "default risk"

on some of mine ive seen the score go up to 900 and my score was an 800 but I got denied...

so I actually wonder if a HIGHER score is BAD as opposed to with a fico, a higher score is better.

think about it... if you have a higher score on a risk model that predicts fraud or default, doesn't that mean you are at a HIGHER risk of those things?

Same thing happened to me when I requested a replacement card for the one I misplaced and they decreased my limit from 11k to $500! I've been a customer since 2018 and have never had a late payment with them and they pull this s**t! They should do away with this TransUnion Rapid Default Model Version 1 because it's not working properly.

Re: US Bank CLI system denial "TransUnion Rapid Default Model Version 1"

Not to open another thread on this but I just receieved  a mailer with a denial on this same garbage model and they placed my score at 584. I have had my personal cc since 2019. This is the 1st denial where I received this letter on this model. I hope they are not idiots and reduce my credit line, since I am carrying a BT balance. I think this further reinforces my closures of Business and Personal checkings accounts with US bank. I'll report back if they do anything

Hi @AzCreditGuy, thanks for reviving this thread.  I tried for a CLI with USB this summer when I reached calendar 0/12 (368 days), but forgot to cycle over to the 13th month.  They denied and cited TURD Score of 582.  Re-applied a month later with bureaus frozen and was asked to unfreeze and possibly take a HP.  I agreed, and got a $10k -> $15k CLI but with a HP - not sure what my TURD was at that time.  USB then approved a new CC with a $20k SL a couple months later (and of course another HP).  I just play along with their game; they seem to like that...
