letter stated something about "File to new"

That makes the least sense out of any reason they could have listed under the sun... oh well, no hp of course so that's all that really matters.

Received a similar letter when requesting a CLI for my Cash+ in January. Doesn't make sense at all (AAoA - 8.4 years, Oldest Card - 27.1 years, Total Accounts - 55 (39 - Open, 16 - Closed)). Have had the card since April 2014. Figure I will wait until June and see if I'm old enough then.

Did you request a specific amount (i.e. through the CLI shortcut method), or was this a pre-approved CLI X amount listed on the statement? I don't think I've received any statement notifications for the CLI but I've received the snail mail letter invitations, email and online notifications.

It just said in statement "congratulations you may qualify for cli, call us!"
I called and asked fora specific amount as the girl made me state a number and it was completely denied a week later by mail.

Hmmm, that's an odd one. I don't think I've ever seen any info like that on my statements. It almost sounds like you'd get a specific amount? So, what amount did you ask for if you don't mind me asking... please don't say $25K on Cash+

Now, would you know if your frozen CRs played a role? Were they frozen when you asked?

The primary borrow is my parter and they showed a report used from Feb... USbank doesn't pull co-borrorw info usually at all (my experience)

Oh I see, gotcha. Well, that is really interesting. I can't recall, but how long have you and your love had the Cash+? Has it been over a year? You guys (well you primarily ) have so many (even for your better half) that I've lost track!

I think 9-10 months.
I tried for a $4500 cli back at 7 months and was declined. Like I said only reason I called and asked was because of the statement.
I bill our Starbucks gold card to the card and otherwise we don't use it... So it sees $150-$200/month in charges which earn the 5% back.
