US Bank Flexperks AMEX

I got a letter in the mail for a per-qual on the US Bank Flexperks AMEX. This is a newer product, but they have had the Visa for several years.

The offer:

$49 AF (Waived with banking relationship)

15.99% APR after 0% intro on purchases and transfers (3% fee)

10k points after $500 spent in 90 days

I took the offer but got the 7-10 day message. I called into underwriting and they told me I need to wait. While I was on the phone I asked them for a CLI on my existing flexperks card. It currently has a limit of $19k (signature outdated) and I asked them to make it $20k.

Re: US Bank Flexperks AMEX

Why would you only ask for $1000 for a CLI?

I have the FlexPerks Amex .. need to get around to the minimum spend now that I've gotten it out of the way on the CSP.  Got a pretty decent limit and good APR on it.

I didn't want to ask for a whole lot since I was already asking for an approval on a new app. Also, my income doesn't support much more anyways. Plus, I asked them to use the HP from the app.

The card I want is the flexperks reserve card, but I don't have the assets Smiley Sad

Thanks, it has changed a bit since I made the signature. I no longer have the AMEX plat, instead I have the Ritz Carlton card with a $20k  limit.
