@Jarrodpd wrote:I just called in, I clarified my income and housing situation. She was saying it was going through review still and she thought the reason was for low reported income. Im thinking that may be the issue as with Amex I was able to also report my assets like stocks and 401k's, thats the reason I may have had a chance with them. I will have to wait 2 more days before calling back or wait for the letter to come in the mail.
Sounds like it's progressing in the right direction. I'd give them a shout in a couple days to see where it stands.
Hopefully your right, it may have been me hearing things but it sounded like something about low income. But me being a part time worker and college student, its no better than telling me the sky is blue.
I don't recall what the actual minimum income requirement was for Cash+ but maybe someone can chime in. Not sure if that may hinder your approval chances (i.e. if below the threshold) but if you were able to substantiate it in other ways (dividends, other income, etc.), then I think you should be fine.
You can call 800 947 1444 for an automated status of your app. Its pretty normal for them to review applications.
I don't quite remember what happened but I believe in September of 2014 I applied for their Cash+ card but I live in Florida where they do not have a presence that I know of and that's what they told me. They sent me a denial letter stating so but then they approved me for a FlexPerks Select Rewards Visa anyways for $5,000. All their applications are manually reviewed if you don't get an instant approval I'm pretty sure.
Good luck! It seems they're very conservative. Don't let your score fall too low either; they're known to decrease your limit if you do. I went from $5,000 down to about $1,600 and I contacted the Executive Office. They told me I should be able to call in June and get my credit limit back. We'll see. Keep in mind my credit history was only like 9 months though, I had 0 credit history prior so that probably didn't help my situation whatsoever.

Thank you for that number, I feel better not consantly nagging a CS person.

My scores are flat there is very little change in them, on all three im constanly between 725-745. Do you know if there are income requirements this card? Thats the only thing I see holding me back. My listed income is under $10K.

It was generally said that minimum income for Cash+ is 30k. However i would not be surprised if the standards have lowered since the Nerf
Hopefully XD, I dont see myself as being a risky customer as I have one card with a $2500 limit and another for $8700 and I keep utilization down.

Just got off the phone. Aproved for $2100, so I didn't qualify for the cash+. Which bothers me as this card is useless otherwise with only 1% back. Hopefully in a few months it will allow a product change. But I won't get the $100 signup bonus.
Sorry you didn't get Cash+. But I think $100 signup bonus still applies to the reward credit card, doesn't it?
