Sorry to hear, this is why I will not apply for the cash+ probably ever as they can downgrade you ... Congrats on the approval none the less!

Just got off the phone. Aproved for $2100, so I didn't qualify for the cash+. Which bothers me as this card is useless otherwise with only 1% back. Hopefully in a few months it will allow a product change. But I won't get the $100 signup bonus.Sorry you didn't get Cash+. But I think $100 signup bonus still applies to the reward credit card, doesn't it?
If it doesnt state in the paper work I will call back and check, if thats the case it will be very helpful. Even If I have to wait till the end of the year to get the bonus(some cards only allow you to get earned cash back at the end of the year).

Thanks, Im going to stick it out and hopefully make some headway, if I do get upgraded and then they try to pull it out from under me without a valid reason, I will most likely just cancel and leave.

Keep it and grow it. Once you reach a minimum CL of $5K, ask for the card to be upgraded to Cash+. IMO, it's still a great product (despite of some categories going away). All the other ones they offer still are ideal for me.

@FinStar, I have all intentions of letting it grow. I realised they pulled my equivalent which has 7/8 pulls on it. Half of those are going to fall off by September. They were inquires from car loans I was either applied for or didn't realise I did myself. Though I'm leaning towards the first one as I didn't even know my SS number at that time. Do you know how CLI's work with U.S. bank? I know Amex is 61 day 3X, what about them?
Typically, anywhere from 6-12 months you can contact them and see if your account is elegible for any pre-approved CLIs (which are usually SP). Otherwise, wait around the 12-month timeframe to see if you receive any auto-CLIs. Now, for any customer-initiated requests, those are HP so if you need the extra room, see if the HP makes sense at that point.
Also, if you put some moderate spend on your account throughout the year, it is possible they'll send you an email or snail mail offer that you qualify for a CLI (also SP). So, as long as everything else looks optimal on your CRs and there's positive history on the account, you'll be in good shape.
