US Bank is a pain in the ass!

I applied 2 weeks ago for a cash + card which at first was denied. I then asked for a reconsideration which went to underwrighting who told me strait up they can approve it provided verification signs off on it. Ok fine with me. They tell me to send a copy of my ID and something with my address on it such as bank statements. I sent them my ID which has my address and a copy of my US Bank checking statement. First they lost it in the pile somewhere and asked me to send again. I did so. Then they tell me they are behind and to give them 4 business days. Also fine I gave them 7. Still nothing. Calling verification is next to useless. The people who man the phones cannot see what the people (verification) are actually doing so have no idea when or if it will be checked. I asked if they could just inquire with someone who does that if A my docs are now with them as in recieved and B how much longer they expect to take. They could not do either. I have never seen such chaos. I am about to call it a day with this whole crap. I have an account with them already they have already verified me yet it must be done again. Its all fine so long as they actually do it. Anyone have any experience as too how long this nonsense takes? Driving me crazy.

Something isn't matching up on their internal systems from whom you say you are and where you live.  Went through this when bought a new house day of house closing I applied for a CC very similiar thing happened to me went to review found out denied due to reason and called and was a verification dept or somethig along those lines eventually they saw it was recorded and approved for 20k within a few mins of conversastion their should be a # for their verification dept or ask UW for it and have them transfer you or call and hopefully they can get it all sorted out in the end was worth it for me for a 500 bonus, but understood as I just moved and they are just protecting their money from fraud

Re: US Bank is a pain in the ass!

The twists keep on coming. I log in today to see $0 in available credit and my card blocked. Huh? I just got approved for it yesterday. I dont even have the card yet. They tell me someone tried to get gas with it along with several other transactions. How the "bleep" is that even possible? So the drama continues I am on hold right now with the fraud department to try and get some answers. I have never heard of such a thing. I dont even know the card number. Now in the process of changing my passwords. No idea how this could happen like this with a card not yet even activated nor been even sent yet.

Exactly the same here, First denied the we get a call from US Bank to verify Business and ID...faxed the information twice then 2 days later nothing so we called told us to wait but no one came back to the phone. We think nobody there is aware of what day it is Totally frustrated with US Bank.

Yes, it is seeming to take forever to get an answer on a CLI request.

Re: US Bank is a pain in the ass!

Sometimes fraud people can guess a card number before it is issued. Likewise sometimes the workers making the card are part of the fraud. In the end the system will stop it and issue you a fresh card number. Be thankful they are not going after you for the cost of the headache and have already stopped the fraud from effecting you.
