USBank Altitude Approval Odds?

I want to apply for the altitude since I've started using Samsung pay every chance I get.

My TU score right now is 734 and I have 5 new CC accounts and 9 inquiries in the past two years.

I know their pretty inquiry sensitive but I've had their Cash+ for a while so maybe that will help. What do you guys think?

50/50..... never know until you hit submit.

Already having a card though w/ experience might help in overturning a denial though.

According to this thread  and your signature, you got at least 2-3 cards in the past 6 months

I'd wait

Re: USBank Altitude Approval Odds?

It was hinted to me by a CSR that they want 3 or less new cards in the last 12 months. I was 5/24 and 5/12 and was denied. They've been my main FI for 11 years and I've had 2 other cards with them for over 2 years. They wouldn't budge on my denial.

Yeah all my new cards are now 7 months old. Do you recommend I garden until they're about a year old?

Re: USBank Altitude Approval Odds?

I am eyeing this card myself. I went into a branch and spoke with a banker this morning. He confirmed the 0/6 rule is real and that 2/12 would likely lead to a denial also. He said the other USBank products would all be in play if I chose to open one to have my account fee waived.

As he put it: "Altitude has its own set of rules we go by."

It depends on how you feel about HPs

You can call and talk to five different people, and get five different stories on how many are too many

It seems like anything over one or two can get you a denial. They've certainly gotten a lot stricter with new accounts.

What you should not do if AR is the goal, is get another of their cards to get "in" because they will count that one, too

Garden till temptation becomes too much, then give it a try. It's just a HP

I would say a year would be ideal, but I'd be a hypocrite because I did not wait myself when i should have 🤷‍♀️
