USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

Just filled out a form for a CLI for $1500. I wanted to see if the $1500 rule still applied. So far (30 min) no hard pull alert. Anyone have any info on this topic? Thanks

Re: USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

USBank appears to now be intitating hard pulls for all consumer requests for credit increases. I don't have any data sets to confirm this, but personal experience from a $950 increase lead to a hard pull. To add insult to that, it was requested at the same time as an application for a new card and they double pulled.

Re: USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

Thx. That's what I read as well. Still no hard pull tho. Maybe the form didn't work. I hate those manual review forms. I'd much rather have a instant approval or denial.

Is there anyway to tell your Cash+ Limit online? I want to be able to check my limit to see if it gets approved. Can't find it. Used to be able to click the card... then click the Account information on the top left, and it was listed in there. Mine isn't anymore tho. Maybe that is cuz the request for a CLI is in right now. But if anyone knows a way to see the limit (besides a statement) please reply to this

Thx

Re: USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

I also requested that same line increase last month since they mailed out a preapproval plus i seen where they did a SP on my reports.

Got a no joy letter about 10 days later but No HP. I've had this card since 2012!

Started at $2K way back then and today it's my absolute lowest line at $4500.

I think that i'm just about done with US Bank.

Re: USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

they HP'd me for that a few months ago last year, and again to close out one card and move it's limit to the other card... not even sure they actually came through with the CL move because on their useless site you can't see a limit for anything marked as a Visa Signature.

US Bank does HP for all customer initiated CLIs. Also only way to see limits for visa signature card is, credit card statement.

Technologywise they are still in the brick and mortar era!

I know how you feel. Those HP's on transferring card lines is such a waste and only adds to the frustration.

Currently have their one card SD'ed until time i can make up my mind what to do about it.

I tried for the longest time to land the Cash+ but back then the limit wasn't enough and then they nerfed it and now i have zero interest in even doing a PC for it in spite of the few 5% cats left.

They don't mind dishing out a new card but with the way they handled this one for me i'm just not interested.

Sometimes i think they mail those out just to see if you will.

This does seem to be the case now, but if you look through older posts it seems many used to get small CLIs without a hard pull.

Re: USBank CLI Under $1500 attempt

There are too many conflicting answers on this topic... not just on this post.
Some say the "request $1500 or less and it's a SP" rule is no longer... but some say it is.
Some day a denial is a SP and only a HP if approved. (CreditMagic... did you ever get a reason in the letter?)
I still have no hard pull from this morning. That means it either didn't take- it did tell me thank you and we will review this though..... or it means a denial with no pull. Not really sure what's going on. I can understand the frustration with USBank but I am a big fan despite them being my lowest limit. They also gave me a no pull Line of Credit for 5k and at the time my highest limit Card was $2000. I do have 6 bank deposit accounts there and a car loan for one more month. They treat their customers great and if you have a relationship with them I think the lending is more lax. I have made multiple posts about if you have or want a CC to open a savings there or a Checking/Savings Package. If you have a CC the Good Package is free for a Checking and Savings. No min and no monthly fee cuz of the CC. If you don't have one yet get the Silver Package or a savings and the fee is waived if you keep $300 in there: point is, I am a customer there and SO isn't... and scores are almost the same. I get tons of preapprovals and got the no pull LOC and SO didn't. I got my first cC with them on recon and he didn't. IME tbey will work harder for customers of Deposit products.

Now..: back to my topic... let's hope for this CLI the same is true. Either a SP approval or a reason why not that I actually agree with. I hate getting the "too many INQ's" or "don't use the credit you have" reasons. That's crap to me. I have agreed with declines many times tho.

Anyway... more data points on this will be appreciated. (Or if anyone else wants to try)
