Update: Chase advice

UPDATE: I called and they said I was denied because I had too many applications in one day. How long should I wait to reapply or should I wait  call the app recon?

So today I applied for chase disney and Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Credit Card. I got the review message for both so I called the back door number and spoke to a very nice lady. I answered a few questions and was approved on the spot for 19k on Disney application but my southwest it seemed I entered in the wrong SS so we corrected that and she said that I will get something from them in 1-2 weeks with their decision. Which seems odd because I have a chase card already perfect payment history with them for over 3 years, no late or any baddies. Current uti is 2% and above 800 on all 3.  Only have one new account in 2 years, now 2 including the Disney card.

my question is what are my options or what should I do about the southwest applcation? Appreciate all the advice!

You should wait a month or two.

Okay thank you, so you think if I call when I get the letter even that's too soon? Only reason there's kind of a rush is since I planning on using it soon to buying tickets withs.

If you get a letter denying your application, you can call and recon, giving them reasons why you want the card so badly, and why you're not a risk, etc.

Final update: thanks to everyone who responded, I got the electric letter saying too many inquiries so I called for an app recon and they approved me!!

Re: Update: Chase advice

Multiple credit applications in the same day?

Slow down there, Hoss. Geez.

Also, expensive vacations on credit cards don't tend to end well.

There's a lot of things that damage your credit report. No need to help them chip away at your credit score. (Or end up taking your wages.)

Hahahah I've done multiple apps in one day a few times before, score will only take a small hit but bounce right back.

Both cards (and all my cards) are always paid in full each month. I'm getting repaid by other family members so only have to pay for my part. Appreciate the concern however!

Congratulations on the successful recon and subsequent approval!
