Update on Chase CSP App I have been borderline obsessed with lol

Hey everyone, Im sure if you have seen a lot of my posts on here you will know that I am very interested in the CSP card. I was denied for it and I recently figured let me call recon one more time since I have an amex now and maybe that will help, who knows lol. So I finally got to someone on the recon line who was extremely helpful and cleared something up for me. I thought I was declined for minimal credit history. The guy on the phone did a very in depth review for me and said the reason I was actually declined is because at the time of the application the only card I have history with which is an AU on a Best Buy Visa, was over the limit. So I finally know why I was declined. I know the whole history thing but I have family with no history and got approved for 10k and 7k I believe. He told me he would be happy to apply for that card again and pull a new report and that could really help since now the report is updated with a 0 balance on that VISA card. He said theres a chance it would be a HP but he said it could be a SP. I didnt want to take that chance though because I didnt want the HP just in case it was going to be a HP. The guy at Chase told me he didnt see my amex reporting yet. My first amex statement is today. I was told amex wont report until the second statement. Is it worth trying to do one more recon with Chase or reapply when my amex reports? I feel like now that I know the real reason I was declined makes me feel better that Chase doesnt just hate me and apporves my family and not me lol. Thanks for reading, I just wanted to update you guys on that Chase story. Any advice on where to go from here would be appreciated! Thanks!

Good god Vinnie..😂
You're not borderline obsessed. You're 100% obsessed.
This card is about to get nerfed. What's the allure?
It would be best to wait. Obtaining these cards is a luck of the draw sometimes. People slip through, while others are declined.
You'll have that CSP eventually, give it more time. Allow your file to age a bit.
Or burn them, if you got them and take another HP. If you're declined this time.
Do not come back and look for a shoulder to cry on.😋
Good luck if you decide to pull the trigger again.

Nerfed is when they cut the benefits or perks of the card. Chase has been on a roll lately. They seem to be looking to cut as much as they can get away with. While still collecting the same or higher yearly fees.

It's a common term in gaming but also in regular convo.

In video gaming a nerf is a change to a game that reduces the desirability or effectiveness of a particular game element.

So to be "nerfed" would mean the card is likely going to lose it's benefits/appeal or go away completely..

IDK which as I don't have any Chase cards..

aahhh... nerfed. Smiley Sad

Yeah, CSP is a goal, too bad I didn't know about 5/24 before I hit 5/24 with ChaseFU. As I wait, I've been seeing posts about reduced benefits. Nothing new for a year so I can have a chance at CSP? Or go for Amazon Prime VISA now? Chase nerfing CSP is swinging me to toward Amazon.

Like I've told you multiple times... Do not apply for anymore credit until your Amex has been on your report for at least 6 months.

You can't say we didn't warn you.

Chase's marketing of their Sapphire cards is so successful that it has managed to convince many young people that they must have a Sapphire card so they can travel full time, post photos from exotic locations on Instagram, and become "social media influencers." Its quite surprising how often similar comments about CSP/CSR appear on these forums.
