OP: Seeing that you have proof that this approval was the MC version, I hope have pursued this - it would be great to get an update! Bread issues hundreds of cards so its accuracy may not be as assured as other issuers. This is slightly apparent from the last highlighted word from your screenshot approval.
Cashiers can override the customer's card swipe/payment and select cash as the form of tender.
However, no cash of $50 was ever presented by @Intuitive-sleuth and s/he received none of the $15 in change from the $35 purchase. The transaction does seem to be a little fishy, although it could be a simple mistake. (Some merchants offer a Suspend Transaction feature.)
If fraud was the intent, how do you think this cashier actually profitted @Beefy1212 ?

So I logged into my f21 account to make sure it was charged and my balance was 0! I even showed my sister to be certain that I wasn't tripping (I have a brain injury) and I was correct, the receipt stated I paid 50$ for 35 $ worth of stuff, and I supposedly received change from that 50. I did swipe my card though and nothing was charged. I did not call the store to see what happened since it was back to school time and so busy. I requested a CLI since I was already logged in and it was approved for 1k. I logged back in about a week after and still nothing. My sister and I couldn't figure out why the cashier did that! Outside of it being VERY busy...so I still don't have a charge on the account. I want to look in my email to see if I was approved for a visa part. Hth
You cashier pretended to ring you up and pocketed the money.

They logged it as cash, then the next customer who paid cash they take they 15 out of the register, and/or the next the customer is there friend and they give them improper change or accept less than the stated amount etc. Point is they have a receipt for more than they paid, using a method, they didn't pay with, stating they got change they never did, and a credit card that was never changed. Either they got someone elses receipt and some glitch happened that never processed the swipe or someone in some way was doing something fishy.

At the end of the shift, the Cashier turns in all of his tender- be it credit/debit card receipts, checks, and of course, cash. This cashier, however, will be short of the $35 in cash right?

Maybe, depends on how they handle the register, my last retail job only the closing shift closed out the register, and multiple people used it but it has been many years since I worked retail, as I said it is possible it is just a weird glitch but my bet is someone did something sketchy, who knows...
I ended up with a free ps5 controller this Christmas, because somehow GameStop processed me picking it up and gave me a receipt, yet somehow never logged I picked it up and canceled the order. So I know it can happen, but to get a receipt for the same purchase price, and a totally different payment method and cash tendered is very odd especially given the dollar amounts involved how often you see a 50 dollar bill tendered just seems very unlikely.

Yes it has happened to me. Most of what you said was the same as me! When I tried to get the Mastercard it told me I had 1 already.. I think I would know that. 🙄 Hope works out for you!
Did you dispute this? I hope so.
I called customer service and they said I didn't validate my card but I did online. I haven't heard back yet.
Please continue to update. Thank you.
Hi there... I was just trying to get a little clairty on what you're doing with Victoria's Secret. I'm ONLY asking because I have the regular Vicky Secret card and I called about upgrading my card to the VS MasterCard and they told me, I would have to close my account and reapply and not a gaurantee that I would be approved for the MasterCard. I tried applying anyways and was told I already have a card so it wouldn't allow me to get another Victoria's Secret credit card.
