VS 180 Day CLI Request

So today is 180 days since opening my VS card I requested a CLI but was given a 7-10 day message is this common I thought most were just instantly approved?

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

That's more than likely a denial anytime you get the 7-10 day message.

A CLI is not automatic no matter how long.

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

It took me 9 months +1 day to receive the first cli on my VS card. Always the 7-10 day message before then now getting a cli every 31 days since. Had my card since 12/2015.

Redpat - I didn't say automatic I said instant. Most CLI requests give you an approved amount right away.

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

Comenity has been a strange bird for me. But in general, first CLI is often 9 months.

My VS was opened 2/2016 and no CLI until 12/2016. Went from $350 to $750.

Then many say you can request every 30 days. Not for me! And my scores have definitely improved.Took 3 months for another CLI. Went from $750 to $1150.

Pier 1 was also opened 2/2016 and not a single cli yet.
Ann Taylor was opened 3/2016 and got cli in December and March. From $250 to $500 and now $750.
JCrew was opened 3/2016 and no CLI the entire year I had the card. I closed that one this week.

Store/Other: Care Credit $7,500; Kohls $2,500; Home Depot: $1,500; Amazon: $1,000; Target: $1,100; LOFT: $700

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

As if going to VS as a guy isn't hard enough already Smiley Sad I shop there every couple months for gifts for my fiancée the girls working there never try to help me at all even when the store is empty. And when I go to pay they literally ask every other person "Will you be putting this on your Angel Card today?" But they don't ask for me.

VS was founded by a man to make lingerie for his wife.

CLIs will be instant, 5-7 day is a denial letter coming.

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

7-10 day was usually a denial for me. i got rid of my VS card because I couldn't get it past $1500.

I wouldn't take it personally that they don't ask you if you need help or if you're using your Angel card, I would rather they NOT ask me those things and let me just shop.

Re: VS 180 Day CLI Request

For me it just seems like it's because I'm a guy if it was for any other reason then that's fine but basing not helping someone on the fact that they are male or female is not acceptable in my book.

Male dominated stores always help women from why I've seen.
