Venmo Visa Initial CL Question

Greetings All - longtime lurker, love the forum family ;-)  Recently applied and was approved for Venmo Visa using the app. Thought I saw a $11K CL...but got $2K CL when the app finished. Question:  Was this just an initial SL for the virtual card? I can't seem to find anything in account information that says otherwise, but haven't gotten the card yet. Just curious for those who already have this card...

Often times, one is provided with a temporary limit until the card is activated. Since SYNCB CCs tend to report to the CRAs within 72 hours, you can confirm the full limit on any CMS application (if you wish). Otherwise, upon receipt of the physical card.

Thanks @FinStar! I thought as much, but wasn't sure. My only other experience with SYNCB is a Car Care account and I don't remember it working that way. Appreciate the reply 👌

Congrats! I don't have the card (yet) but is on my radar. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your question but do you have any DP you'd be willing to share? Haven't been able to find much for this one before I pull the trigger!

Thx @Anonymous  Everyone told me the best way to apply is through the app. There's the regular Visa Signature bennies, but most ppl look for the 3% cash back on your top spend category (i.e. transportation, grocery, entertainment, gas, etc.) then it's 2% on the next highest category and 1% on all other purchases. No annual fee though...

Not sure it matters if you use Venmo otherwise, but I've had a regular share account with them for about 5 yrs and got a "pre-approval" invite. As I hinted in the OP, I won't be able to verify until it hits one of the CRAs (or I get my card in the mail) but I believe they gave me SL $11K w/ $2K up front for virtual trans until the card arrives. Didn't plan to get it, but you know how it goes when you get on one of those "let's see what I can get" sprees, lol 😂

GL if you do decide to pull the trigger. From other posts I've seen, they seem flexible to different credit profiles. Mine certainly isn't top tier...
