So I understand that C1 pulls all 3 but here's my dillema, my EQ is much lower than the other two. After my reports refreshed today I have a 698 tu 672 ex and 626 eq. Will the bad eq score lead me towards a denial?
The biggies if you're going for the Venture over the Venture One, at least 3 years of credit card history and/or a bank card with at least a 3k or more limit. You stand good odds going in like that, even with a lower score though. Looking at yours I would say wait it out closer to the 700 mark on all 3 for better chances and better limits. Looking at the Venture vs Venture One, is the signup bonus and annual fee is $0 making the Venture One better there but the Venture earns more miles per $1
That is kind of low for a Venture. Might want to hold off and apply after adding more history on your platinum and qu one while trying to get eq up. Good luck.
Appreciate the advice. I love these forums because you aren't left going in blind. What about odds for the Venture One or Quicksilver Visa? I'll probably try to do a product change from the QS1 to QS. I do think I will wait because I don't "need" another card but would like a higher limit card to be a daily spender.
Wait even on the Venture One, If I'm not mistaken even the lowest CL on that is $3k, let your scores defintely build, check the prequal too. The Excellent rating they have even on the Venture One is a good indicator to hold off a bit...My scores are close to yours and even I'm afraid to app cause it doesn't come up even as suggested when I check prequals.

That may be a good guideline but it's certainly not set in stone. When I was approved both my VentureOne cards as well as my regular Venture, I wasn't in the 700 range of Fico score and I was post Ch. 13BK by just a little. I agree with waiting until the OP's score climbs a little but I think CapOne takes into account your entire credit profile...if they didn't there would be no way I should have been approved for the cards I have. Just something to consider...
Have you finished credit steps? If you are really good and score supports it, capital one may give you a higher amount. I worked really hard on my credit score in those six months and capital one rewarded me generously, my two 1000 limits went to 3000 and 5000 on my sixth statement. I combined them into the platinum(I pc'd to a regular quicksilver a month or two in) for an 8000 card. Patience does pay off.
All great advice thanks! Also great to know that the venture doesn't look at the fico 08.
I have 1 and 2 months left on the steps, respectively. Patience will pay off.
good luck
