My goal card is the Venture X, and with already having a Venture that was PC from Savor1 and a Quicksilver that was bucketed I didn't know my chances. I applied last month and was denied, figured I would be since all that came up during the pre approval was cards for "good credit". After paying off some debt, I redid the pre approval today and the VentureOne and quicksilver w subs for excellent credit came back with set APR%.
My question is since I'm getting pre approved for "excellent credit" cards, would my chances for Venture & VentureX be decent?

It depends on a variety of factors. Do you currently have any revolving cards that have limits in the ~$10K range or higher? Also, what were the reasons cited for the application being denied the last time you attempted it.
Although there's some DPs floating around regarding the maximum number of Capital One core cards that can be approved. What are the current limits on both Venture and QS?
