Saw Raj get that garfield card and I applied bc I now want it too ![]()
I didn't quite get a fast approval, though.
When I called csr they said wait for mail, and I received letter saying provide copy of IDs?
Question is: Anyone else have to verify ID before with Commerce? Does it usually turn out positive?
If they are taking the time to do ID verification. Then you are basically approved.
They could simply deny you without going through all the trouble.
One thing to note is they didn't pull my credit (yet?) so that just makes me wonder if this is prequel to a decision ![]()

pray we both get em... garfield bros ![]()
They havent pulled my credit either....I wonder if they did a soft pull?....Having me send in my personal info hopefully means a approval....
I also applied after reading Rajs post, it took them a few days to pull my credit (Transunion) and another couple days after that to get my approval email. $2000 SL but I'll take it, can't wait for the card to come in the mail! They seem to be a tad slow and applications that aren't auto approved take a bit of time to be manually reviewed.
Thanks...Did they request anything from you?
Verification with most banks or credit unions happens before UW gets their hands on it. Being asked for verification is not a way to gauge approval or denial.

@Anonymous
Depends on the lender my friend. If Citi request verification its been 100% approval afterwards.
They've done verification on me atleast 5 times and each time an approval followed.
Same with BoFa, Amex. The only time I was denied after verification was US bank. And that was because the person performing the verification clearly didn't believe I was me. lol
In 99.9% of the apps I've done and asked to do verification, it was followed by an approval. I've done a heck of a lot of apps. lol
