Spring cruise was cancelled by Carnival.. Understood. Rebooked for late summer...

Upon checking my new booking info.. I'm tempted by the Carnival MasterCard.. (250on board credit etc)

Applied... Went into review... Checked status 10 min later DENIED?!? Pulled TU @ 671..?!?!??! I can't wait to find out why??

To many inquiries? New accounts? I went for the same card and called to know my status. The rep looked over my credit report and said my rebuild looked good but I had too many new accounts for them to approve me. I've opened three in the last few months, ten total since my rebuild began.

Did you try calling to recon?

Yeah.. I just called.. They told me too many new accounts (just opened Discover it and NFCU more) and also my age of credit too short and to try back in maybe 6mths or so

Sorry, to hear this. This is Barclays who are very sensitive to inquiries and hav8ng a thin file and lowish score ususlly doesnt help. I hope your cruise does get rebooked but i wouldnt count on it. Cheers
