Victoria Secret app

Got the 7-10 day message. They pull Experian in Texas, no baddies, 36 inquiries. Should I expect this to be a denial? I really want this card!!!!

Re: Victoria Secret app

With Comenity, a 7-10 day is usually a denial, but sometimes it is verification also. Your score is definitely way above their minimum, but those INQs might be killing you.

Hi, it's usually an identity verification. They also are sometimes uncoordinated in their credit dept - I got an initial denial in the mail because there was an address mismatch. I called, got a supervisor, and they got it squared away. Good luck!

Re: Victoria Secret app

It seems with the 7-10 day message that could mean declined. I would definitely call the recon number or if you do get a denial call in and speak with a supervisor. Your scores are good for Comenity, but the inquiries may be what's hurting you.

Re: Victoria Secret app

TransUnion had a computer glitch in July. All inquiries were dropped from your account and then TU went back and added them which is illegal. You can call and have all your TranUnion inquiries removed. You must have the name of the companies and dates when you call. Credit Karma should be useful for getting the dates and names of the companies. I was able to remove three which added 11 point to my TU score on CK. Others had 20+ inquiries removed which really helped their score increase. Just tell the CSR that you want your inquiries removed do to their glitch. A month ago, they even had a phone prompt for this issue.  Btw, saw this information in a FB group post origninally.

What is illegal? Nothing. There is nothing illegal done, if they accidentally delete the inquiries, and reinsert them at a later date due to a computer glitch, or whatever...

Incorrect reporting would technically be illegal, as it would violate federal law. But, there is nothing incorrect. Were the inquiries legit? Yes. End of discussion.

Ooh. Ooh. Getting closer to that $500K mark!

Re: Victoria Secret app

Well, VS was denied. I called customer service. They can't let me recon until I get the letter in the mail. I really wanted that card. 😩 I have no baddies...Experian is 717 but I have a ton of inquiries. Maybe Comenity is HP sensitive.

Well that stinks. I think Comenity has become more inq sensitive then they used to be. You'll get this card eventually for sure. You just may need to garden for a bit first.
