I have a Wells Fargo credit card with a $23,000 credit limit. I would like to increase it to $35,000 and my income is 125,000. If I ask Wells Fargo for the credit limit increase will they do a fresh credit bureau report softpull or will they use the soft pull of the credit bureau report they provide for me monthly?
Haven't used much of the CL granted to me since paying off my revolving balance in August. I have gone up to 4K max, and PIF.
I am waiting for the CL on my Citi account to update (closes 17th) with the CBs, decreasing my Utilization (to 57%) & hopefully pushing my scores north of 800. I'll be AZEO (57% utl).
Current scores 786-790 from what I can see. :

Best to just call and ask an agent, but generally IME they will use the existing soft pulls that they are doing
Unfortunately sometimes Wells Fargo will say they want to hard pull, which you should obviously decline and try again some other time

Recent forum datapoints indicate that a soft pull CLI is limited to 25% of your current limit. So, you might be able to go up to $28,750 without a hard pull.
