Thanks, and great name, FICO DeMio... Assuming "CL" is "credit limit," $300, which is $300 more than I had, so it's fine with me. I have to start somewhere!
Sync Bank is used by music retailers (Sweetwater, etc.). They turned me down 4 months ago for insufficient credit history. Per Sweetwater, their requirements are tight city. That's why I buy my music gear from Zzounds, which has in house credit and gives me a good credit limit. They don't report., however, which is a drag. I'm a good customer and pay my bill there like clockwork. In fact, NONE of the bills that I pay report; hence my interest in a card.

I'm currently seting up my new account! THANK YOU david244us!!!
Congratulations. Now use it well. Best way is to keep using it and paying it down to zero, even multiple times per month. Don't carry a balance on it.

Thank you! Do you mean buy items and also pay off the full balance multiple times per month?

Huh, interesting IME they are very accepting maybe it was just for that card? I believe that is what Jamaica was suggesting, that way when your card reports it will reflect a low utilization.
As to Sync Bank, that's poosible - that they have tighter requirements for musicians! Ha Ha. In any event, they turned me down, so there's no need to give them another opportunity to ddo so again. I'm VERY happy that I was approved by Capital One Platinum. Remember- I've not had a credit card in decades! THe only reason I have a score at all is a mortgage from my old house; long gone too. So I'll take the "bby steps" with COP. One card to start.
Synch is a strange beast. A few months before I bought my house, I applied for Amazon, Lowes, and Walmart and ended up with SLs of:
Amazon: $700
Walmart: $2000
Lowes: $10,000
The day I closed on my house, all of the above had zero balances, and my scores were actually a few points higher. I went to a local furniture store to get a new bedroom suite for my kid. It came to about $900.00 and I was declined. I asked which bank they used and they said it was Synch. I went home and logged in to find a number to call and found they had auto up'd my Amazon CL to $1900.00 (a $1,200 auto CLI).
I waited for the denial letter that I knew would be coming and it said that I had too many inquiries, new accounts, and short credit history... yet they increased my Amazon CL by $1,200. the very same day. go figure...
