A little humor or irony (depending on how you look at it) credifiend: my ex's name is actually Tanisha (honest to goodness it really is). I should have known that it wasn't going to be a good conversation.
Eh? So do you think it was your ex who picked up the phone and put the screws in you at chase? Coincidence?

Applied for chase slate. Got pending message. Called recon line. Tanisha wasn't having any of that. I asked her the status. Tanisha said your application was declined due to too many recent applications. She went on top state "you can't close or reallocate from any other Chase card to open this card" "You'll receive your decline letter in the mail within 10 days". Tanisha took that application so personal. I wanted to say, It's the costs of doing business, but didn't get a chance to say anything other than my opening statement. Lol lol.I don't get the humor behind repeating the name of a customer service representative. I read through this entire thread. So many subliminal & suggestive messages. Would it have been just as amusing if the representative was named Amy?
Lets not misinterpret what OP said. OP was just explaining what happen and was calling the analyst by name instead of "She". We don't think OP was being suggestive. Let stay on topic intead of turning this thread into a debate.
I'm sorry, I don't like drama threads ... but it is completely disengenious to suggest that OP was just innocently using the CSR's name and there was no implication in using the name, Tanisha, 3 times. Would this thread be half as long if the CSR was named Amy? Even if the OP wasn't intended to be racially loaded, the replies definitely ran with the implications, no?
"Homegirl wasn't finna play with you today ...."
"Tanisha, lol"
"Don't be doggin the sister"
So on MyFICO, there are namy taboo topics, like gift cards, but very thinly veiled racism is just fine, and even defended by a Community Leader?
