I just got a letter in the mail from Chase. They want me to send some documents to verify my address, like I said I have recently moved, so no surprise there. I read that that is generally a good thing, at least I didn't get denied right away, right? I wish I could submit documents online like with Capital One (they asked me the same thing, address verification)

Yes I have heard that this is a good thing, maybe if there is a Chase bank location near you , then you could run the docs to them and have them kinda expidited the situation? Maybe others with my exp could chime in?
Thanks; well the problem is that since I just recenlty moved I don't have any utility bills, I only have paystubs and other bank statements, plus a temporary DL (still waiting on the DMV to mail me the actual card). Capital One was fine with just other bank statements, and my temporary DL, but not Chase. They make it so difficult!
They won't take my temporary DL plus my ID with the old address! I don't understand why! I even went to a branch to see if they could help me but no.... how come? They should have some flexibility; if a banker has corroborrated the person in the ID is the same person applying, with several different sources pointing to the same address (statements, temporary DL, tax forms, paystubs), they should be able to accept that.
It's not my fault the CA DMV takes forever, it's been 8 weeks since I passed the driving test so I should have received the card by now. They are telling me it will take 4 weeks more to get it, so by then Chase will have thrown my application away!!!
Right now I'm trying to push the DMV to expedite the process; the first time I called they told me it was gonna 7 weeks, then the day after I called and they told me 4 weeks (because every time I call they do something to supposedly 'expedite' the process), so I'm hoping if I call again they can get it down to 2 weeks, wich will be a week before the application is thrown away. I'm also thinking maybe I can get a replacement ID with the current address; the DL has to clear DHS (I'm not a citizen so every time I renew or apply for something at the DMV the Department of Homeland Security has to make sure I'm a legal resident, which is stupid because they ask for my immigration card so that should be enough for the DMV to clear me...), so since the ID had already been issued it wouldn't have to go through DHS, it would just need to be printed with the current address. But that stills takes 2 weeks, and I'm not in California right now....
My sister can't add me to the bills because they are paid by the landlord directly, the only one that is paid by her is the internet but no names can be added.
Bottomline, if the DMV didn't take for freaking ever, there would be no issue. All Chase needs is an ID. Basically, don't apply for anything with Chase within 3 months of having moved.
They shoud be able to take your ID with your old address. I was just approved for a business credit card even though the application address did not match the business address. The application took greater than 30 days to approve, but they did not pull a second CR. Explain the situation to them and you should be fine.
Maybe it's different for a business credit card, but I think my ID has to match the address in the application. I even went to the branch and they won't take my old Id plus the temporary DL (both have the same number). I think my insurance card should be arriving in the mail soon, I hope they take that.
Good luck.

I think you might have been right! I called again and this time I was told I could submit my old ID plus my temporary DL. I think that when I called before they didn't quite understand what I was saying. The Temporary DL is basically a replacement for the old ID, they have the same number, so they should be able to take both as proof. I faxed it already, hoping for the best!

Always recon! It's amazing how many people can get it over turned because I think the 7-10 day message Is usually a denial
12v I apped for the CSP and it originally gave me the 2 week wait time via phone and robo. I called lending and they informed me it was a denial but then asked if I would like them to recon to which i said yes. I sent in the info they requested of me to verify my identify but now the phone and robo say 7-10 days but they haven't loaded the documents they asked me to fax them which I did 3 days ago. Explain that. lol

Oh yeah, they told me it takes up to 5 days to load the documents faxed. I'm gonna call again on Friday to check if there are any updates.
