...How reliable are they?
Both sources say that Citi Double Cash and Simplicity are among the cards on the "offers for me" section, and I really really want the Citi DC but my score is not quite where I want it to be. TU 08 663 EXP 687 EQ 690
I really want DC. I dunno what to do.

I would say not very. Why? My bet is they base their recommendations off of some very general guidelines, however, those guidelines are a fraction of the guidelines used by the actual underwriting algorithms employed by the financial institutions. In my case, all of those credit sites posted "offers" for me for cards which I was nowhere near able to be approved for; I learned the hard way, took several hard pulls, and didn't get even a single card.
Chapter 13:
I categorically refuse to do AZEO!
Not accurate they don't do a pre-qual with issuer at all. They peddle which ever issuer is giving them the biggest commission if you are approved. Sure they put a few safety nets in place, but for example they don't know about Citi X inquiries in 60/90 day rules or 2 citi card have to be spaced out 8 days etc to be approved and all the other stuff

Completely unreliable.
Sign up for Credit Karma and see if the double cash is a "Karma guarantee" for you.
That way, if you apply through the Credit Karma link, you get $50 from CK if Citi denies you.
Double cash is being offered to me from Wallet HUb and Lending tree now (on the EQ site). bah. I've opened four new accounts in the past six months, but many of my older accounts I had paid off and closed or got closed due to inactivity so my aaoa is 9 years roughly across the board.
I just don't want another useless hp.
thanks everyone for the comments.

What do you think the reasons are for your lowered score? The cards you currently have are pretty good with decent limits. Your AAoA is good. Is there anything you can do quickly to raise your score some?
CK claims that i have outstanding odds for getting a Cap 1 card. But, they closed my account for to many lates, go figure.
well, someone stole my identity during the end of the pandemic and so I still have two fraud collections reporting and three inquiries from where someone stole my identity.
Ive done everything the CRAs have told me to do including FTC/police reports and they wont remove the fraud accounts/inquiries.
I even sent the original creditor a letter, so remedying the effects of ID theft. I literally called experian a couple days ago, and they told me no supervisor was available to dispute anything.
like okay, it's not htat it's your job or anything EXPERIAN! lol The credit reporting agencies have gotten out of control. they will let anyone report anything on your credit as long as the price is right.
