So I have been trying the luv button. ..of course been denied every time...get the letter in the mail...denied too many inq and balances too high.
I do have a few inq, but have pretty much paid off the majority of my cc ' s...on the letter the score they have is 615 and the score date is September 19th...my question is can I go to chat and have them use my updated score and report, or would that risk another HP? Even worth the try?

How long have you had the card and do you use it often? Because they told me once that I had to use it at least once within the last three months to get an increase. You may have paid your credit cards down, but has it relfecting on your CRs yet? Because that's what they're going by. I don't think it would hurt to try chat, but I don't think it would be worth a HP if that's what they offer to do.

What's your score on the Walmart account website? The TU fico? Update that score and hit the luv button again. I wouldn't get on chat and start asking them to get updated scores and what not unless you don't mind a hard pull. I would say if they're using a soft pull from September then you're probably due (overdue maybe) to be sp'd anytime now and have the information updated.
I got a measly $150 cl when I got my card on September 4th. I started hitting the Luv button immediately. Sometimes twice in a month.on December 1 my ficos went up between 15 and 20 points for aging of accounts or something. I hit the Luv button on my Walmart and my Amazon. Both declined. Then I went and looked at my fico score on Walmart and saw that the score bump wasn't there so I updated it and it reflected the new score. Next day after work I logged on and Walmart went from $150 to $1100 and Amazon went from $300 to $900.
Coincidence? Maybe. Probably in fact. All I know is a few days later the cli denial letters rolled in showing the score I had before I updated that Walmart score, apologizing for not being able to raise my limits even though I was already sitting on CLI's.
Depending on how long you've had the card, usage, and whether any new CRA information is up to date (given your balances), you can contact the Credit Solutions department (see backdoor thread sticky) to see if that option might work.
Walmart/Synchrony is a strange beast. I have decent Visa Siggy's with nice limits, and Wally will not raise me after many attempts. The only CLI I received was by Auto

I don't know if it has changed much since the change to synchrony bank. When it was GE i found that calling in would yield an lot more success then using the cli button on the website. I wasn't ever succesful when i used cli button but when i called i had it increased with no problems. All they asked was how much i wanted and that was it.
Right I agree, but I had no luck calling in either. I did get to the point where they asked how much I wanted, but said no anyway. Some say they Chat is the way to go now.
I got a $100 auto CLI increase after 7 months and then a $200 luv button increase after 10 months... with a few denials in between. The card is just over a year old. I never use it because I never shop at Walmart and the only reason I still have the account open is I have my fingers crossed that they will one day upgrade it to a MC account.
You guys...
Chat.
Tell them the CLI button "gave you an error message" and be persistent, they throw a canned response up there about the button. Repeat yourself about the error message.
They will offer to "process it for you".
You are in.
Ask for 25k, they will counter with whatever the computer shows them. I went from 847.00 to 8K. Card was 3 months old. Will hit them again in a couple of months.
Thank me later.
