It's been 3 months since my Walmart and JCP cards have received credit line increases so I just tried each one online. Tried Walmart first and received this message -
We apologize for the inconvenience, but we cannot process a credit limit increase online for this account.

Attention: Your Transaction is complete. Please do not use browser back button.
I then chatted with a representive online. They looked into it and gave me this response -
Thank you for waiting. I am sorry to say, however your request for an increase that was done online was not approved at the moment. As much as I want to have it increased, unfortunately, I am not able to override it. A letter of explanation will be sent to you within 7-10 business days.
The same thing happened on the JCP site. Should I give them a call or do you think I'd get the same answer that I received through chat?
Thanks!

Sorry to hear that
I dont think calling will yeild any better results. In my experience and info all over myFico, 4 months since last increase seems to be the sweetspot for Synchrony
I dont think I've heard of any sooner (unless you left money on the table from last increase) but as always YMMV.
Give it about 45 days (to make sure 4months has passed) and call Credit Solutions
I looked back to my past CLIs. It took awhile for them to really start showing me some luv. That happened the end of last year. After that, increases were in the 3-4 month range -
Walmart - 8/24/12 - $600. - 11/24/12 - $700. (BD - no - 5/14/13) (BD - no - 9/29/13) (Jan ’14 - Luv Button - no) (5/2/14 - Luv Button - no) (July 6th - no) 11/28/14 - $1400. (Auto) - 3/04/15 - $2200. (Luv button) - 3/16/15 - $3000. (Chat) - 7/27/15 - $6000. (Chat)
JC Penney - 9/22/12 - $200. (BD - no - 9/29/13) - 12/15/13 - $400. (Auto) 3/29/14 - $750. (Auto) 10/26/14 - $1350. (Auto) 3/04/15 - $1850.00 (Luv Button) - 3/16/15 - $2500.00 (Chat) - 7/27/15 - $6000. (Chat)
I always get that msg. With the Luv button, and Chat has never worked for me either. Last week I tried again and same thing. Called Synch. and got ClIs on all my cards (separate calls over 2-3 days.) I won't bother with online or Chat again. The phone calls are painless. There is no 'secret' number, just call the number on the back of the card. It's a soft pull, so if they say no, try again next month or 2.

I decided to call after reading your message. Started with Walmart first. Went though the normal questions and requested $10K. I was granted that $10K after waiting for a few minutes. I then asked if she could process a request for my JCP card. The representive told me they can only do one at a time so I called back. Went through the same routine and asked for the same amount. That one was declined so I'll see what the letter says when it arrives. Overall I'm still happy with what I received.
Helpful info here. Thanks.
Yeah, congrats on Wally!
Now, put that number in your contact list, speed-dial ready for next time.

I ended up calling Credit Solutions instead of the number on the back of my card. It's in speed-dial!
Called back later to ask about my cash back limit. I usually don't use it but I believe my limit was a few hundred dollars before (don't remember the amount). I'll remember this one though. It's now $666.00. I asked how they come up with the cash back limit. He told me it's a percentage of the limit. I think the percentage is different for different people because others have said they have much higher limits. Some of them have lower credit lines. I don't use it much but it's there.
