Walmart Store Card Criteria

@bluesky28 Did you get the card yet? I haven't even gotten my card yet. Congrats on the CLI, I may call in. What did you tell them? Just curious what I should be asking for?

Walmart is an interesting bird...they would never do the auto increase for me. I was at $400 FOREVER. They bumped me to $550, when I got my utilization down to 12% - I hit the luv button. Then, when my utilization went up to about 30% just recently, they bumped me to $1600.    Not sure why.

I just got the card with scores in the low 600s....I was actually surprised...because I have tons of baddies from 2009-11. I did have a Fingerhut and Cap1 Secured for 18months and 10months respectively - perfect history. Got a $500 SL...haven't received the card yet, but hopefully it grows. I also got the $75 on the same day..get $25 offer.

    i went from $150 to $2500 after 2nd statement with 1 phone call to credit solutions.  YMMV

    you should actually call them as soon as you get the card and ask (need tires, phone, whatever YOU need).

    use it asap and let a little report so a statement cuts.

We applied for a wlamart store card and got the message about waiting 7-10 days t hear from them so I am assuming its a denial, We also got a pre-approval letter with special code from us bank and filled it out and was still denied

As many have alredy mentioned, this is not a card where you should fret about low starting limits as Sync/Wally is generally fairly generous with CLIs both auto and with the "luv" button, though, from what I see on the boards you gotta request CLIs through chat/phone to get into the "astronomical" territory. Either way, mine started at around $400 and I'm at $3300 ATM which in itself is far more than I need on that card IMO (never requested a CLI by phone/chat).

Joke of a sl when opening card back close to 14 months ago. Paid on time yet not 1 NOT 1 increase from them..what a joke. Extremely frustrating..attempts at "luv button" and online chat nada..zippo. Closing account

Some people have better luck with them than others.  There are those who can get $5k limits just by batting their eyes at Credit Solutions, and others that can't get arrested much less raised.  I seem to be the latter, although my credit's still not reached 700.  I'll probably keep it open while I get the score back up, for no other reason than there are at least 3 walmarts within a 5 mile radius of my apartment, and once your credit improves, it's easy to get in with a major CLI, and now their upgrading to Wally MC (although that's a HP in itself).

For the Walmart CLI is it a SP or HP? Do you think I can apply for one with my 2nd statement just cutting? Should I call or try the luv button? My current CL is $800.
