when I got my first one almost a year ago, I got the card but my score was at the cut I guess so I didn't qualify for the 0% intro and got the highest interest rate. My scores are better now, discover has given me a few CLI over the year. Has anyone had a similar experience?
You can call them and ask for an interest rate reduction and ask if there are any 0% offers available.

This. as they do it all the time. As far as 2nd card. Not happening unless you go different product. which there are only 2 more. Discover it miles. High scores and Chrome. which you could get. but i think it has to be exactly at 1 year mark of having regular card. Thats what they said when i asked about the Miles card. Got mine a little over a year ago. 4 days over to be exact. Now they are offering all types of BT options for another 12months. 0%apr

Youre probably correct. These Csr's say whatever they want. I did go to pre qual site since you said that. And it came up with another Discover it instead of the miles card. I will pass. As i dont trust discover's site anyway. i wish i had a list of true pre qual sites. I know cap one. Chase and citi pre accurate. Everyone else seems to be garbage. ![]()

Good luck if you do!
I apped for another and they denied me due to having too many accounts with them already (1! 1 account with them)
That's just an excuse for denying you, there must be some other real reason they said no.
There's no reason to apply again over interest rates. Of all of my lenders, Discover has by far been the easiest to work with as far as APR reductions. They routinely reduce it every 6 months or so, also they will give 0% offers sometimes. In short, you can get a better interest rate over time without reapplying (unless your credit goes into the toilet during that time or something, in which case I guess they'd be less likely to reduce your APR).
