Wanting to apply for Freedom and Hyatt.

Hey everybody,

Was thinking of applying for the Chase Freedom and Hyatt cards on same day, but I've got a few questions.

I just opened a Slate last month, is it too soon?

Will two apps on same day result in two HP?

I want to take advantage of the Freedom signup bonus, and the Hyatt I don't necessarily need right now, but I am looking to replace my AmEx Hilton HHonors and figured it'd be better off to do on same day if they'd only use 1 pull.

Thanks in advance for your input.

How many new cards of all stripes have you acquired in the last two years? Two apps same day is hit or miss for one or two HP's, but you can pretty much guarantee that the second app will go to review.

New cards, just the Chase Slate last month. All my other cards were opened in 2011.

Cool. This would be an interesting test. Chase has been denying left and right lately based on "two many new accounts in the last two years." They can't use that excuse on you.

You think it's a good shot?

Re: Wanting to apply for Freedom and Hyatt.

Try it. I posted this question too but haven't received any responses. I was approved about 5 hrs ago for the Slate. I'd love A CSP, but was afraid to pull the trigger. I have 3 new cards I opened in February reporting, and I just picked up about 10 new CC's over the last two weeks. Obviously none of these new cards are reporting yet, but the INQ's sure are. I've got EX 10, TU 4, EQ 5 showing currently. I was hoping to app for the CSP.

I just noticed Chase pulled EX and TU for my Slate app on May 1st. I didn't check EQ, but do they normally pull all three? I thought they only pulled 1 bureau...

Chase has pulled my EX and TU for a few cards in the past as well. They've never triple pulled me, but double pulls are fairly common with Chase.

I've tried to space my Chase apps out by six months but I always have many other new accounts so if you've just added one in the last few years I think you have a good shot. What kind of limit did they give you on Slate?

They gave me horrible $1k limit. Was kinda hoping the second card would get greater love. I only opened the Slate because I wanted to use the 0% on balance transfers, but with the CL they gave me, only one transfer was done.
