Wanting to call Citi for a recon

I haven't gotten the denial letter yet in the mail, do I wait until that to call? What type of questions do they ask? I know my scores aren't stellar but if figure I would try to recon since there's already a HP on my credit from them.

OP..No disrespect, but whydo you keep applying for cards that you will not get with your current scores? Those are way too low for most store cards, much less a Citi card. Even I know with my crazy profile what limits are as too who I could get approved with.

In response to your question...Wait tell you get the letter, and see what reasons it lists so you know first. Then, you could call recon at least to try and speak out an approval, but my gut is saying denial on recon as well.

Garden, get your scores up to the 660+ range at the very least, and then go from there.

Im not too sure why it's came across as I've applied for many cards. Citi and Amexwas the only one I've applied to, the other cards I've asked for CLI and gotten denials but I called and asked why and as posted Iearned why and what. But thank you for your honesty and reply.

Just trying to save you from extra HP's on your reports...Even I know my own limits on getting approved.  Which card with citi did you apply for? was it a store card, or a major one of theirs?
