That is outstanding!

I have never been told this by a credit card company before. I have always either been told the decision or told to wait for a letter in the mail in 7-10 days. Has anyone ever had a situation when they app for a credit card, call in to speak with someone and get told to call back in a few days while the app processes? Just trying to determine if ther is a problem and I need to go to a different lender to get a card.
When I check the email link it says I can check back in 24 hours and they will notify me in a week by mail.
Last time it happened to me, it was for the AA card (personal, not business)
You probably have to call back because of the public holiday. I wouldn't be too worried about it. Enjoy some BBQ tomorrow, call Tuesday, and more likely than not, you'll have a new AA card a few days later. (Citi loves to overnight cards to me)
The Citi CSR was really terrible tonight. Long hold times. I tried online first and they told me sure I can have the card expedited just call this number. Then I call that number and wait on hold ten minutes and get told its the wrong number and to call this number. Then I call that number and I get told there is no way to expedite the card. Not to mention she asks me my name at the start of the call I give her the info along with my social etc and then I guess she couldn't hear my response when she asked to confirm my address and she starts in with "caller I can't hear you, you need to get off the call". I don't know what the heck that was about but it was incredibly unprofessional and rude especially since she had already been given my name and pulled up the account. To refer to me as a caller and not by my name? Then she said the card will be mailed two days after it was issued, so I asked what date it was issued on and she got in a huff and said well didn't you get an email? (side note I never got an email other than the confirmation of the app which gives you a link to check which is how I found out about the approval). Really was a bad experience all the way around. If they aren't going to expedite the card fine, but don't be a jerk to me about it.

Sorry to hear. That is indeed a terrible experience.
