I tried doing a preapproval for wayfair bc I'm moving and I need furniture. I ended up getting a hard pull on my credit report and a message saying "We'll review your application and notify you with a decision within 7-10 business days. While you're browsing our site you can also check your application status." They also said I was pre-approved for "lease to own" through something called acima. I don't see anywhere to check the application status and I don't want to touch the lease to own financing until I know how it turned out. Does anyone have experience with this? Should I just do the lease to own?
I would assume you tried the Citi pre-qualification for the Wayfair CC? The 7-10 days message could be 50/50 - either denial or additional information required to verify you. Either way, I'd wait until you receive confirmation in writing as far as the outcome of your application.
Thank you. I'll take your advice and wait it out
Same exact thing just happened to me today. They'll let me know in 7-10 days. Ex 564 / Eq 542 / TR 621. But they said I was approved for Acima ($1,000) and Katapult ($1,200). I am looking everywhere online now to see who they are and if they report. Both say they report to Experian.

I recently used Acima to furnish my place. They are a lease to own company and if you're going to go with them I would definitely say pay within 90 days to avoid crazy interest. I purchased furniture back in June with them and paid it off in September. Had I not, I would've paid over double for my furniture in 24 months. Acima definitely reports to Experian.

Mine ended in a denial for too many new accounts so I used the Acima. It all worked out.
