I've had my Cap One Journey Visa for 3 years. It's limit is $4250. I requested an increase to $7500 and also a PC to a QS Visa. I put this call in 10 days ago and said I was willing to accept as little as a $750 to be at $5k minimum. Today I was told the request has been declined and that the reason would be in the mail. I have used that card and PIF regularly. I didn't think I was asking for much. Oh well.
They wouldn't tell you over the phone? Sorry about the decline.

Thanks. I really think I just need to chill with Cap One for 6 months or so. I have $31,400 over 5 cards with them right now. I think they see their recent approvals and want to see me go on over some time. I guess I shouldn't complain and I'm not really. I should be grateful for what I have and let that all work for me.

You know with Capital One, you outgrow a card and they expect you to apply for a prime card, and refuse to do a cli on the entry level one.
You already have their prime cards. You are finished. The only cli's you will get from now on with them will be on your prime cards.
5 cards with Capital One?! I'm still stuck on on my Secured and QS1
2 card rule is for subprime cards until your credit is more established with higher scores, then the max becomes 5, after you quailfiy for prime cards. Did you try the cap one preapproval site, where you enter some info that does not result in a hard inquiry until you actually apply?

+1
I contacted the Capital One EO today via email regarding my accounts with them. Been with CO since 2008. I hope they value me as a good customer and help me out. Sorry to hear about your outcome :/
