Just got the mailer for it.. Anyone have it, is it any good? 3x gas, 2x dining is actually pretty good.

Only issue is I don't see it anywhere talking about a sign up bonus..

Thoughts?

If you have a set APR on the mailer you should be golden.  I kept getting a pop-up online and notification on the WF app about the Propel, but the APR was always too high for my tastes (22.xx%).  A few months back it lowered to 18.xx%, and just recently it lowered to 15.49%.  Since I was interested in the card for OD protection and the cell phone coverage anyway I took the bait, and was instantly approved.

IMO if you're interested in chasing bonuses this is obviously not the right card, but from past experience with relatives I can say that WF isn't easily spooked and is solid, albeit basic.  I plan on using mine on occasion for the 2x on dining, and that's probably about it.  My relatives did report getting decent BT offers from time-to-time, so if that happens for me I might consider that angle as well.

I do not have any data points on how a pre-qual for the 'regular' Propel might indicate your chances of getting the version with the bonus; unfortunately the WF cards aren't extremely popular on here so there's not as much info.

Re: Wells Fargo AMeX preapproval..

I might strongly consider getting WF, but not now.. going to hold off on getting anything to get my last Chase card- IHG.

And then I'll casually 'stroll' in the garden, until offers like the propel and other cards with strong benefits show up..

Anyone else know of any other cards with good benefits like that?
No AF cards..

Re: Wells Fargo AMeX preapproval..

I have the Propel card. Since I bank with WF, it is no brainer to have a CC with the bank. It is not my go-to card, but it gives me FICO and other stuff. Just want to keep the credit line open with WF.

Re: Wells Fargo AMeX preapproval..

Like the OP, I too got a mailer and app'ed in Aug 16. Was approved for 2K at 0% for first 15 months and 19.26% APR later.

It seems WF gives CLI after 12 months..it's the card with lowest limit but for 0% APR and 0 AF, good deal..
