Wells Fargo Autograph Card - DECLINED

I was looking for another 0% card because my BCU 0% APR card is getting ready to expire in 2 months so I thought I would pick up the Autograph card, yeah that was a no go. Reason giving was number of revolving bankcard trades opened in the last 24 months which would be 7 cards, a $25,000 PLOC (which I got the same time I got my $25,000 BCU Cash Rewards card with BCU, same HP) and a auto loan 5 months ago with BCU. They pulled EQ and they said my score was 829. I have 3 INQ. on EQ. I thought maybe Wells was like BAC and have the 3/12 rule which im 2/12 (not inculding the auto loan) Maybe I will try my luck with Bank of America, but I wanted to share the DP.

I'm thinking about applying for the Autograph Journey card, so I also appreciate the data point.

Sorry about the denial, did you try calling for a recon?

A couple of years ago I app'ed for the Chase United Exlorer card, FICO 8 scores above 800, way under 5/24 and was denied. Called and got it approved (but had to transfer CL from one of my existing Chase cards).

Scores: March 21 FICO 8: EX 810, TU 808, EQ 813
AoOA: closed: 40 years, open: 30 years; AAoA: 14 years
Amex Gold, Amex Blue, Amex ED, Amex Delta Blue, Amex Hilton Surpass, BoA Platinum Plus, Chase Freedom Unlimited, Chase Amazon, Chase CSP, Chase United Explorer, Citi AA, Sync Lowes, total CL 203k

I have not try to recon yet because I wasn't aware Wells does recons, but that is a good idea. Thank you.

I'm really not specifically sure about WF either, but it costs nothing but a bit of time to try.

Sorry for the denial. I've read many posts where they held checking balances against cardholders.

Re: Wells Fargo Autograph Card - DECLINED

Sorry for the decline. I got a great 0% card back in Nov 2023. The USAA Rate Advantage card gives me 0% BT and purchases until April 2025. I got a $20K starting limit too and I had no prior relationship with them. If you are a member they are one to consider as I believe they have other cards with 0% offers. Good luck.
