I believe it's 6 months for a sp cli. You might be able to get one earier if you are willing to take a hp.

Did you find out if this is accurate?? I last got a 200 SP CLI on January 20th and I am itching for a real CLI. All my other cards start with a minimum of 3500 and the sad thing is I have had WF Plat for 5yrs. It is my oldest card. It started as a secured card with 700. Now at 900. There has gotta be more juice left to squeeze!

Pretty positive it's six months, though haven't actually had to do it myself yet as I'm waiting for my first six months on my Propel to pass.

How about how soon can you try for a CLI after a new account is opened?

It can be pretty hard to squeeze anything out of WF. Do you use the card a lot? Have you given them any reason to give you more than a $200 increase? I mean, it sucks, but if you find you don't use it a lot and/or it's not worth the HP for a CLI, I would just SD the card and move on. It would be nice if you can grow your oldest card, but they're just not the type of lender to expect that from.

No I don't any longer, I definitely used to though but after my deposit was held hostage for 5 years I applied to other card companies and the service I've received has been heads and shoulders above my WF experience. Eventually I may have no choice but to SD my WF Plat. I don't find the limit enough to be a daily spend, and I am not willing to pass up on CB/Miles rewards from other card with better interest %.
