Hey everyone. I applied over the weekend for the Wells Fargo Propel card and received the all too common pending message (needing more information). I called in earlier today and after verifying basic information, I was told the only thing they needed was for me to take recent paystubs down to a local branch. I was a bit annoyed but I took the stubs down and was told to wait 24 hours for a decision. Has anyone else been through this and have any advice? I'm rather nervous as I came out of the garden to apply for this one and would be devasted if I don't get it.
Although I don't have any WF experience, I think you have a good shot if they requested income info.
Appreciate the info as well, I am not a fan of POI for credit cards only loans, so I can cross them off the list😆

They don't always ask for POI. It may be a random thing or UW wanted to see.
Could be time at Job? I do not know for sure, just taking guesses at this point.
I have had many WF cards over the years, They have never asked for anything,
Not even a copy of Drivers License.
Always have had instant approval.
Sometimes other lenders ask, as I have seen posted. Cap1, Chase, US Bank ..probably a few others.
In Close to 38 years of Credit and 45 or so approvals, Only was I asked a few months ago by Disco for a uploaded Copy of
DL on 2nd IT card. They just wanted to make sure it was Me who applied, Per The Phone Call I made.
I'm guessing that OP has a fairly good chance of approval, but maybe slightly lower SL due to Utilization. Again just a guess.
I am often wrong, More than I am right
Just ask @Dinosaur!
Wells Fargo is weird now. Ever since they were caught creating fake accounts or rather opening cards for consumers without their knowledge, they have all these random checks in places.
In the future wait for the last negative to fall off. You said it was only a few months away. The last negative always gives the biggest boost to score.

DPs so far: Pulled EX
I have a checking account with them.
Scores range between 690-720
Utilization under 30%
Inquiries: TU: 1 EQ: 0 EX: 2 (including WF)
Only one baddie and it's on EX and due to fall off in a few months.
Requesting additional information is a good sign.
Same thing just happened to me! Had Cash Wise visa with them for 2 years and opened checking 2 months ago. Applied for propel 10/6 with email saying they needed time to verify information. Called automated phone line next day saying I had prelim rejection. Called in and CSR asked for 2 pay stubs. Only other bank that ever asked for that was US Bank. My FICO is 814 and income over 100k! I’m 4/24 on TU, 6/24 on EX/EQ with 1% util. Maybe they didn’t believe me when I wrote down assets...
