West Elm Pre Approval

Morning yall,

Couldn't sleep last night so was playing around with some pre approval things.

Also, my $4k West Elm card got closed a couple years ago and had no need for it so didn't really care.

Well last night I had a pre approval... also noticed it's no longer backed by Comenity, but Capital One now backs it and it the one  I was pre approved for was a Visa Signature as stated on the online pre approval.. which used to mean you'd get a decent limit. Keeping in mind the giant Pottery Barn Approvals I've seen here, I went for the pre approval.. and

Because I have a fraud alert on my report, I have to verify some stuff and I'm pretty confident the pre appproval will pan out.

That said,

Did anyone realize West Elm was now backed by Capital One? and also has a Visa Siggy option? I think my World Elite MC are actually better than Visa Siggy, but I'm not sure if I've gotten an Visa Infinite yet haha

Anyone have any thoughts or own the West Elm Visa Siggy?? Thoughts? Limits at intial approval? I'd be expecting  a $10k approval with my profile/income.

740 ish FICO ATB

I pay in full all my cards, and I could see the rewards from this thing coming in handy esp the Bday reward $25 I think.. that's almost a whole candle! haha.. it's kinda like the target card with a guaranteed 5% off all the time and 10% off first 30 days plus some 0% offers (if paid in equl installments);

Re: West Elm Pre Approval

terms say minimum if approved is 3k, but saw some of those recent dps you saw of more generous approvals on here, feels like cap1 is more generous with these than the core cards

Re: West Elm Pre Approval

I noticed this last week and pulled the trigger. Approved at 20k which was surprising as I have a Quicksilver at 1100 that hasn't had a CLI in 5 years. GL!

@UFGuy2006 Im so worried about getting  a baby limit (which for me is in the 2k,3k, range) Grats on the 20k. I have a stellar history with cap one that started in 2006 I think. Currently only use my QS with them though, but it's my daily.

What were your scores like when getting approved? its so interesting how the underwriting varies from issuer to issuer. I feel like I'm rebuilding because I stopped using my credit much for so many years, but the reality is I'm not rebuilding, I'm just paying more attention again lol.

I just noticed this morning that they actually hve now triple pulled all of my reports, and while mine has not been approved yet.. because of the fraud alert I put on my report (I have to provide ID and a utility bill which Ill decide on in the next day or two)

I was recently approved for the William Sonoma Visa card at 8K which can be used at Pottery Barn and West Elm. My Transunion report is locked so I only got a double pull versus a triple although they tried to pull the Transunion (I got an alert from CK saying it was denied). My current score is 689 and my utilitzation is 29% at the time of app but I PIF as well. My income is 117K. I don't know if the limit would have been higher if Transunion was unlocked but I'm ok with the 8K. I do have a SavorOne card which I can't get above 3K and a Saks Store Card (also Cap One) that I only use once a year at 3K

Re: West Elm Pre Approval

thanks for the DP.

seems like their underwriting is diff for their core cards as opposed to their  store co branded visa type cards.

I was pre approved, but they are making me go through ID verification so just waiting on that. It slows me down, but I guess that's wht I get for putting a fraud alert on my file.

I wish I would have frozen one or two bureaus before they triple pulled me UGH. kinda excited to see what limit I get! lol a non synchrony store card visa in the 5k+range would be pretty cool!
