Hi My Fico world.
I'm interested in getting approved for a new credit card to help build some good weight so to say. So I can eventually come out and play with the big boys I see on here, (Joke).
I'm currently building my credit, I only have "ONE (1)" open credit card, which is a Captial One "Quiksilver" with a limit of $300.00 to spend. I tried applying for the Cap one "Platinum" but was surely denied. I ended up applying for a Khol's Card, and was told I'd have to call a number, with a reference code, that Khol's gave me. Khol's ended up calling me leaving me a message, and due to work, I didn't have a good enough amount of time to respond back. That was a about a month ago.
I currently have 6 Hard Inquiries on my Credit. My credit utilization was at 88% but I just cleared the entire balance on the 4th of October.
So my question is, "Is there any applications, I can fill out and know I can have a good chance of approval?
I would also like to get Apple financing for a Macbook through Best Buy or Apple, But I'm too afraid to get another Hard Pull...
Any Suggestions. Would be greatly appreciated
Thanks.
Welcome to MyFico. Glad you decided to pay the 88% on the card. Before anyone can give you any advice, kidnly answer these 2 questions.
1) What are your FICOs for the 3 credit bureaus? List them if you can along with the inquiries on each bureau.
2) Do you have any baddies on your reports?
Thanks Yes-Its-Me for a response back because honestly I'm afraid and lost when it comes to this credit stuff.
1.) My Fico for the Three (3) Bureaus honestly I have no Ideal.
I recently logged on to Experian for their $1 Trial run for Seven (7) days to check my fico with them, didn't anything show up except my accounts.
On my Capital One Card their Credit tracker shows I'm at 677 with TransUnion (I don't even think it's accurate) but it said if I paid my balance off, I'll shoot to 729. Still haven't seen any updates on their side of things as of yet.
I'm also trying this Credit Karma out since it's free. but according to Credit Karma my scores are. (Don't know how accurate this is either), and their simulator showed I'd shoot to around 677 if the balance was paid in full (Which it has been)
TransUnion - 622
Equifax - 622
Experian - ???
2.) My Inquiries
Five (5) for Transunion
AMEX Everyday Card
Barclay
Captial One - Three (3) times
Four (4) for Equifax
AMEX
Capital One - Three times
Five (5) for Experian
AMEX
Barclay
Capital One - Three (3) times
I'm in total shock that Khols is not even on here.
3.) Any Baddies on the Report?
Not one Baddie! I've been on time with my Credit Card Payments, never a day late.
I hope this helps.
I'm really just tryna learn from the Guru's here.
Thanks.
Honestly Credit Guy,
I didn't receive a response, I believe it's because I tried re-applying for the same card twice. So once I was denied, I left it alone.

I am pretty sure you are enrolled in the credit step program with the QS1. Try hitting the CLI button on this account. I am sure you will get some type of increase, however not guaranteed, but the stats have shown to receive a increase.
I never knew we can ask for increases and what not... I always looked at how my family was with credit, and looking and observing how this nation is in incredibly large debt ddue credit. I always stayed away from Credit Cards. I always dealt with Cash on hand most of the time. As I'm getting older and seeing that a lot of instances, requires a credit card, so I figured hey what the heck why not start building the right way.
Yes this is also my first credit card. I've always had debit cards, but they never built any life lines for me. and it be times where I may run out of cash, and I've reached my atm withdrawl limits. That's why I'm trying to build this as a safe haven.
