Ok, so I get that the CK version isn't the most reliable, but what about Experian's card matching tool? I'd really like to get a good BT card and Experian says I've got pretty outstanding odds to get approved for a couple of them? I really have no desire to give up a hp, only to get denied. But, if I've got a 98% chance of getting approved, I might pull the trigger.
Anyone have any luck with the Experian Credit Match?

I think they're a good DP to use combined with other DP's such as pre-qualification tools, any mailers, or personalized offers and other sites like CK, credit seasme, wallethub to determine how likely you might be to be approved
they aren't like solid 100% confirmed approvals or anything, but if you're seeing a bunch of datapoints that point in a positive direction, you would have a better shot
which of these do you see on Experian?
Is it Discover or WF, both of them have pre qualify tools that I would consider trying to see how you might fare with either of them and they both have BT cards
I'd be curious if Experian credit match does 'actual pre-approvals' with anybody other than credit one

I actually see both. I get a "90% Credit Match" on a Citi Diamond Preferred or the Double Cash, and I get the "Matched for you" on, like, the Discover IT Balance Transfer(which seems weird, since I already have a Discover card) and the WF Reflect. I'm very interested in the Citi cards and the WF Reflect, since those are all 0%/21 months BTs, but I don't need all 3 of them.
Even though I paid off the vast majority of my revolving debt, and my credit scores are reflecting that, that's a very recent development, and I'm still anxious about wasting a hard pull just for a denial or a low limit which won't really help me. I was just wondering since the tool is from an actual CRB, maybe it might be more "accurate"...

WF has a pre-qualification tool: https://web.secure.wellsfargo.com/credit-cards/yourinfo/
citi I think is a complete mystery if you'll get a useful SL
perhaps other people have experience with WF and Citi BT cards and perhaps if there's some approval threads on here that talk about approvals/SL's etc.

My P2 has a standing Experian preapproval for Sapphire Preferred, but sadly she's not into the game and only wants cards that make sense for her, lol
Even going to the banks websites that have pre-quals with the bank on these credit websites. Its the same thing. Theres no real advantage because these sites say excellent approval rating. I have every card showing up that wont give me one with a BK that let these sites link to their app page.
I don't pay attention to the Experian CreditMatch feature, or any of the other similar features offered by, for example, CK or WalletHub.
The only time I "bit" was a few days after my DC in January 2021 when I accepted an Ollo invite through either CK or CS.
I've never used credit match but fwiw I've used CardMatch 2 times to successfully get new cards. Maybe I would have been approved anyway but it gave me more confidence.
They've (Experian) been showing me with a pre-approved Chase Sapphire Preferred for a couple of months. I know it's right because Chase has been showing me the green-star "You're Already Approved" offer on the same card in my app. I couldn't vouch for their other offers, though.
As for CK, they love to give me "Outstanding" odds on all the Discover cards. However, the actual odds are "0", since they limit an individual to 2 cards and I already have 2. When called-out on it, CK only spouts BS. I'm guessing it'll take another loss in court for them to fix their algorithm.
Experian is also showing me the pre-approved offer for Chase Sapphire Preferred. However, I think an app would fail since I'm at 5/24. I'm also on Chase Credit Journey but don't see any pre-approvals there. One reason it may be showing on Experian is that I have two recently new cards (Amex BCE/Apple) that are not yet showing on my credit report so Chase may not know I'm at 5/24. I would be cautious of any pre-approved offers on Experian.
