!st off congrats
2nd Yes-its-me has taken you by the hand and given you A1 class advice and I concur for a few reasons
1) one more HP is not going to kill you vs the rewards and long term benefits
2) I don't see any reason that you won't be approved
So pick the card that best suits your profile with Yes-its-me backing and GO FO IT
Good luck
@Agreed @MJ... OP gets scared methinks... But building credit is not for the faint of hearts. You either want it or not...
I applaud you for taking the time to reassure and guide through the process....You rock ![]()
@Anonymous wrote:Got approved for Discover IT but only a CL of $1000, which is a bit of dissappointment.
WTG congrats and it will grow

@MJ,

.. We all need the help we can get...
Greatly appreciate the guidance. It's been a good day. Glad I just bit the bullet and applied for a few.
Quick question...what sort of hit should i expect to see on the CR's with the two new cards in the short term?
Rough Est.
2-5 points for each HP
2-5 points when each new TL's report
As always its a YMMV situation but the good news is within 6 months scores will return to normal if not sooner and you profile will be stronger as a result of todays successful gains
Ouch. The Discovery Inquiry alone knocked me down 10pts on EQ, which was already my lowest.

Don't sweat the small stuff. Your scores will bounce back and in greater numbers.
Also, to all people who found many of these posts helpful, make sure to go back and give Kudos to the very helpful people in this thread. ![]()
What an Awesome thread!
I looks like Cap1 was late reporting a payment, so just like the EQ went from 711 (at application time), to 701 after the inquiry (Discover) and now all the way back up to 730 with the payment posted. Strange.
