What are my approval odds for CFF and Bilt Mastercard and how long should I wait in between?

Currently I'm living in student housing but in June I will graduate and I have already found the place I'm going to move into at that time and I would like to get the Bilt card so that I can get some cash back for paying rent. However I am also looking to apply for the Chase freedom flex, and I should probably do that before applying for the Bilt card because I'm currently at 4/24, so I was wondering what are the odds that I would be approved for the freedom flex, and then for the bilt card that I will apply for after that? I have no late payments or other derogatory reports so I think I would be approved for both, but I did open 3 cards in January so I'm not sure if Chase or Wells Fargo would deny me because of that.

Another question I have is how long after applying for the freedom flex should I apply for the bilt card? Should I do it immediately after or should I wait? I already paid the deposit to the landlord so I can't get points from that, so I would like to have the card by the time I make my first rent payment, but I don't move in until June so I have some time.

Here is some relevant information that may affect my approval:

Experian FICO8: 714
Equifax FICO8: 733
Transunion FICO8: 737
Inquiries:
Experian: 4
Equifax: 0
TransUnion: 1
Current accounts:
- Discover it Student $5,500, opened Feb 2022
- Amex Blue Cash Everyday $5,300, opened Jan 2023
- BoA Customized Cash Rewards $5,000, opened Jan 2023
- Chase Freedom Unlimited $1,800, opened Jan 2023
- Citi Dividend $15,000, opened Sep 2005 (Authorized user)
Income: $50k

Hi and welcome to myFico.

I'm not as experienced with either Chase Freedom Flex or Bilt as others may be but I think it appears Chase with your CFU at $1800 may have already given you what they me willing to give until you have more experience at your current limits with them. Also, you just received your Disco, BOA, CFU and BCE and they are reporting so opening 2 additional new accounts may spook your existing issuers. Another credit spree on the back of a already reported spree. Make sense?

Again, I'm not a Chase or Bilt credit card expert. Maybe someone else can chime in to support my opinion or proide better guidance.

If anything. WF would be a better choice. Though 4 new accounts in the past 2 months may be a sticking point.

@JonTheDon

Your scores are much better than mine... but I was denied recently for the Bilt for "too many recently opened accounts."

WF is pretty conservative.  Good luck!

I was thinking the same thing about Chase. I noticed it was a bit odd my limit with them was a lot lower than the limits on my other cards.

3 new accounts, since I opened my discover card in February of last year. And I agree, now I think it would probably be better to just get the Bilt. Maybe I'll wait until May to apply for it so that the 3 new accounts are a bit more aged.

Thanks! I did hear about WF being spooked by too many new accounts, maybe I'll wait until the month before moving in to apply to improve my approval odds.
