Hi everybody. I'm new around here and seeking some advice on what credit card I have the best chance of getting approved for and when I should try to apply again.
A bit about my credit, I have 6 hard pulls showing on my credit reports right now. 3 show on each credit report.
12/2014 Store card
08/2015 Discover
09/2015 Store card
11/2015 Discover again
11/2015 Citi
05/2016 Chase
My score on the Discover app shows at 724, my score from Experian website is at 742 and from transunion website is 689.
I do have the Discover It secured card which I got on 11/2015. I am a student, so I am only making about 11k at this time working part time. I do want to get another credit card in the future, but I don't want to do it too soon or apply for the wrong card and get a denial. With my very low income, I figure my options are pretty limited. If anybody has any advice on what is the best card for me and when I should begin to apply again, I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you!
If you're still going to be a student within the next two years, I'd say just garden, since I don't see your income changing between now and then.
Unless I did the math wrong, your AAoA is about 1.3 years or so, which is a new-ish file.
Are you graduating within a year and will you have a job lined up after graduation? If yes and yes, I would wait until 1.5 years from today to apply for anything.
You have a pretty solid line up with Discover, Citi, and Chase. Can't comment on the store cards but definitely let those three age.
You're over 5/24 for Chase so don't think about applying for one of their cards until Dec 2017.
