Re: What does this mean?

FinStar,
Sorry I misread your post. Yes I just asked for $1500 I didn’t want to be greedy and sure didn’t want to rock the boat with my current credit file! Lol

Re: What does this mean?

Keep us posted on the outcome OP. Sounds like you're a shoe-in for the unsecured CC approval!

Re: What does this mean?

Hi,

So-I got an update from the credit union and it was a decline (whaaaa-tears!) So the underwriter was very nice she said to get the collections either paid or removed and apply again.  Today I spoke with the creditors and (1) agreed to let me pay 50% of the debt of $1100  (so I paid this today and got proof of payment) and the other came down $700 (from $2738.00) but they agreed to delete it from my report.  So I paid that as well.  Once this reports, then I'll call the bank and re-apply.  I hope this increases my score some?  Do you think it will?  Thank you for all your support you guys are great!  Smiley Happy

Re: What does this mean?

The pay for delete will absolutely help, hopefully the settled one was pay for delete as well? If they are both pay for delete then you’re golden. If the other one marks paid it will be good but settled isn’t much better than unpaid.

Hi,

I could only get one company to delete.  The other would not budge at all Smiley Sad  sucks!

Thank you

Re: What does this mean?

Well bummer OP. It sounded as though you'd be approved based on the information you provided (i.e. Pending Funded), since IME that's usually the outcome for CU lending products. Maybe this CU is different in that regard, like dangling a carrot in front of you 😁

As mentioned further upthread, I'd agree on getting those PFDs situated first, then check your CRs to confirm the results and/or changes before trying again.

Re: What does this mean?

FinStar,

Yes, she told me that "pending" and then "pending funded" means it just went to a different dept (who really knows tho?) lol -  She was very polite about the whole process.  But yes, I will definitely watch my reports and then hopefully my scores improved some too.

Thank you!!

Re: What does this mean?

Well, that's like a tease 😄

At any rate, glad to hear that at least your interaction with them was positive and keep this thread updated in case you decide to give them another whirl at some point.

Were you able to at least get them to mark paid?

Either way it doesn’t actually matter that much because from your numbers that sounds like the one that is 6 years old and will be falling off soon anyway. No big loss not getting them to delete the debt.
