I got a declined letter in the mail.  My score is a 933 out of a 1 to a possible best, 999.  

Is this a joke?  Yes, I called Recon after I applied and got the 7 to 10 day letter message.  They said I had too many inquiries.

Mine was 555 on a scale from 479-898. Was declined for insufficient credit experience and limited credit experience, since I had no active cards at the time.

Good news is the reason they gave you is something that's easily fixed - just wait a few months and retry.

Thanks Ronpa.  You're right that it is an easy fix... I just really don't want to wait months to get this particular card.  

Did you ever reapply?

Not yet. I was denied on Mar-8th. Since then, my Experian FICO has gone from ~510 to 548 and I have two revolvers reporting (1 credit & 1 store). For now, I'm in the same boat as you in regards to waiting.

In the meantime, I'm using the shopping cart trick (SCT) to try for Overstock, which is a store card I'd really like to have. Also trying HSN and JCrew, which aren't high wants, but would be usable for me. Until I get some SCT pop-ups, I know it's not worth wasting any HPs for any Comenity cards - store nor credit.

Sorry, I don't waste apps and HP's on Commenity cards so I have no idea what my "Commenity Score" is.
