I am looking just an entry level AMEX card that will take on rebuilding credit. I understand there one by invotation only. How can I get one?
have you tried the prequalify site to see what is out there for you?
Check their prequal page. Usually the cobranded cards like Delta are easier to get from I've heard.

You probably won't get a prequal on Amex until you get past 665-670 on your Experian fico 8. At least that was the case for me. I got nothing at 660 but then at 668 all the sudden I got offers
While there are known approvals in the low 600s for many Amex cards, with scores around 650 often a Delta Gold SkyMiles or one of the charge cards (Green, Gold, Platinum) are more likely to be approved. That's assuming that the 650 is an Experian FICO 8 score (available free at creditscorecard.com courtesy of Discover), of course, as that is the one that Amex uses. Amex also takes many other factors into consideration when it comes to underwriting - scores are not everything with them, but generally speaking those with 720 and higher scores with clean records will fare better.

Amex isn't really for rebuilding. As others have said, check their prequal tool.
