When did you get those cards? Chase has a new policy of 5 cards within 2 years now and they will auto deny you.

If I'm reading this correctly you just got approved for a branded chase card with 6 new accounts in the last 2 years.  This would be very interesting...are you 100% positive they were all in the last 2 years and are any of the AU cards?

Yes very positive. My oldest card is one year old last May.

Hmmm this is interesting. And it gives me hope that I don't have to wait 2 years for the Freedom. I think I will still hold off on applying until more reports of getting around their new policy come out. Congratulations!

Well the word is the their new policy is that they will auto deny you for 5 or more accounts in two years IF you are applying for one of THEIR cards. Meaning Freedom/Slate/CSP. That means it excludes co-branded accounts. (Business accounts too I believe)

So if the order you listed those cards, is the order in which you were approved, then this new policy would not have come into play as United, Hyatt & Zappos are all co-branded Chase cards.

Me too!  Maybe things will look better to them in 6 months?  Or credit analyst helped?  My Freedom will be a yr old in Nov.  Thinking I should use the heck out of it?

I got BOA last 5/14 and the rest 11/14, but this will help?

Prequaliifed are pretty solid and you have a relationship with them, but they are being tough on too many new accounts now.

Try prequal capital one for venture.

Guess what????? I responded to their prequal. and i got the message 30 days, but then i called their credit analyst. Been approved for $7500 limit!!

Congrats on getting past that new policy!  Smiley Very Happy  Do you mind if I ask what your fico score is?  Thx
