I got denied by discover couple months ago. They tried to push me to have someone cosign with me which i did not want.
I am about to apply again as since my denial my cr's and scores have gotten a lot better.
Any advise on which card i should apply for?
I don't care about the rewards, af, or bells and whistles, just trying to get my foot thru the door with them.
All their cards seem to be the same so it is kinda hard for me to tell the difference.
Pre Qlfy is giving me the Discover it card. If i can get couple advice here, i will apply right away and udate the result shortly.
Thanks in advance.

I'd just go for the It card, unless you travel a lot, then the Discover Miles card. I think their approval criteria is the same for all their cards. Best of luck!
Thanks Koalablue!
I will probably do it in a little. Will update the result, and it will be my last app for discover, if i can't get it, i will not apply again ![]()
Don't be discouraged. Scores are related to approval odds and with careful work your scores will improve over time. Good luck to you if you decide to app. Discover is a great card to have. As many in this forum will say, "Patience is the key."

My scores are similar to yours (a little lower actually) and I just got approved for two capital one cards a few weeks ago. Easy process IMO, and I even had a charge off with them many years ago. Their site will even tell you what credit is needed for each of their cards so you will be pretty confident applying. I hear they are a pretty good card to have.
BTW Cap One couldn't pre-qual me either. Still can't! LOL But I got both the cards I wanted. Will shoot for their Venture when my credit improves further. I also want a Discover card but afraid to apply. Gardening anyway. Good luck! ![]()

My only problem right now is the inquiries. That's what gets me when i apply online. 26 EQ 16 EX 3 TU. B* still works with TU. Last 2 weeks i get them down to 3 from 14.
And i think EQ is not letting Cap One SP on me any more. I have so many from them that it is not showing me any pre q cards anymore. And i opened so many accounts recently. Just a Lowes acct tonight only. 2 Barclays on thursday night, already reporting.
May I ask, did your reduction in inquiries come from aging off?
Alot inquiries affect too , but your score is low what i think. im waiting to have 700+ to try and be more sure.
