advice Best Buy report code 25

So been good not apping BUT wanted a washer dryer combo, applied for best buy and got the "we need to chat with you" they had the online chat so I talked with Ann, who came back after a few minutes and said I can't help you you have to call this number.....so that was yesterday, I have had citi apps tell me to call, and I have no issues but never got a report code 25 before...question should I just ignore and let the app play out or should I call and face some sort of "grilling"? LOL not sure on this one..... Thanks in advance....

Report code 25 at Best Buy when you applied for credit card means that they need to verify some information about you. The code means that the company needs more information from you before they can allow you to have a credit card with their business.

You might need to submit some identification documents to them in order to be verified. Some people had to send a copy of their utility bill or other bill in order to verify their information that they placed on the application for the card that they applied for through the store.

I got around to calling BB today over the credit card app....the code means that citi has to look over the app due to my exposure to them....over $60,000 (did not think that was a lot but - whatever) after asking what I wanted for a CL ($4K) they approved.....so if you get a code 25 when you apply that is pretty much it, just checking your exposure with them......hope that helps someone who gets that message when apping.
